Wrench Cradles

The Wrench Cradle is a tool specifically designed and engineered for amplifying the applied torque available from traditional pipe wrenches. While similar in appearance and function to a "Cheater" bar, it differs in that it accomplishes the leverage without extending the handle of the pipe wrench in any way. No incidental loads are applied to the pipe wrench anywhere along its length; the load is applied to the pipe wrench just as if the operator was pushing down on the handle unassisted.

  • The hook of the Wrench Cradle is designed to straddle the pipe wrench, rest on the work piece and provide lateral stability to the device independent of the pipe wrench.
  • It is of a fixed length and engraved on the handle with operational limitations, performance specifications and critical assembly information for the user.
  • The device is fabricated from lightweight high strength wrought aluminium, and is a combination of four components. For instance, with the 36" model, the overall weight for the device is just less than 26lbs to allow unassisted handling by a single operator.
